Throughout one’s lifetime, many big events will happen. You want to make sure you are looking and feeling your best on those days. An easy way to prep for your big day, while increasing your mood and enhancing your smile, is by whitening your teeth.

Preparing For Your Big Day

Teeth whitening is an excellent option for those looking to enhance their smile. If your teeth are straight and in order but lacking in shine, whitening is the answer. At South Holston Dental, our doctors offer patients two different types of whitening solutions. The first option includes take-home whitening trays. At our office, the doctor will create a mold that will be used as a tray. You will be given the whitening solution to use in your trays at home. This allows you to whiten your teeth whenever you feel the need without having to come into the office. The second whitening option requires office visits. This will be completed in the office during an appointment. For extremely stubborn stains, intense whitening solutions can be used.

Benefits of Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is not only beneficial to your teeth but your health as well. It enhances your smile which can boost your self-confidence. People often choose to whiten their teeth before a big event, like their wedding day, starting a new job, or going on an exciting trip. When one feels more confident in themselves, they are likely to smile more and perform better at the task at hand. Smiling not only makes you more approachable but increases your mood as well. Smiling increases the serotonin released in your brain, which is the happy chemical. So not only will you be looking good, but feeling good as well!
