South Holston COVID-19 Updates

premier • Apr 03, 2020

As the world begins to shift due to the Coronavirus, our practice promises to be here for you. Each state has started to implement similar plans to try and keep this virus at bay. In Virginia, Governor Ralph Northam declared a state of emergency in response to COVID-19. Due to this state of emergency, a few things have changed at our office. Here are the updates below.

South Holston Response to COVID-19

Our top priority at South Holston Dental Group is to keep you, your families, and our staff safe. We realize that emergencies happen, and want to assure you we can help. The only patients we will see at this time, until further notice, are those with dental emergencies. In order for dentistry to do its part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the ADA recommends dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures. Concentrating on emergency dental care will allow us to care for our e mergency patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies would place on hospital emergency departments. This way we are not only preventing dental patients from being potentially exposed at hospitals, but relieving numbers for the hospital medical personnel.

Dental Practices During Quarantine

Even though we are not administering general dental services, it doesn’t mean you can’t do your part at home! During this time make sure to floss, brush, and rinse with mouthwash twice daily. Practicing proper dental hygiene will lower the risk of a dental emergency! Please practice these things along with proper handwashing. This way you know you are keeping your mouth happy and healthy until we can see you for a check-up.

Our goal at South Holston Dental Group is to reassure our patients we are here for you. If you have any questions at all or feel you are experiencing a dental emergency call our office at (276) 466-9800. You can always visit us online here for more information on dental care and our services. We realize it might feel like chaos right now, but we will get through this together! We can’t wait to see your smiling faces in the future. Stay well!
